FAYE KELLERMAN

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in Sherman Oaks, California, Faye Kellerman is one smart cookie. She has a BA in mathematics and a doctorate in dentistry at UCLA, and she’s conducted research in oral biology. Kellerman also plays mandolin and guitar and is often heard making music with her husband, bestselling author Jonathan Kellerman. Her groundbreaking first novel, The Ritual Bath (1986, a Macavity Award winner for Best First Novel) introduced readers to Peter Decker and Rina Lazarus, “the most refreshing mystery couple around” (People). As a writer of highly praised and oft-anthologized short stories and reviews, she has served on the board of the Mystery Writers of America and has been a judge for the Scriptor Awards. She lives in Los Angeles and Santa Fe with her husband, their youngest child and a 15-year-old papillon.
