Sarah Booth Delaney is no stranger to the paranormal—after all, the detective does have a household ghost—but even her psychic friend Miss Tomeeka is suspicious of Sherry Westin, the new medium in town. And not just because Sherry used to be a madam.
When billionaire Marjorie Littlefield, one of Miss Tomeeka’s clients, hires Sherry to contact her dear, departed daughter, Sarah Booth is drawn to the case, much to the dismay of Graf, her fiancé. As Sarah Booth and her friend Tinkie head to New Orleans to case Sherry’s brothel-turned-new age retreat, Graf has good reason to worry. Because Sherry’s got an efficient little operation going to separate wealthy widows from their fortunes—and she’s not about to let Sarah Booth get in the way.

What I love the most is Sarah solves the case on her own!

Bonefire of the Vanities was funny, and it had all my favorite elements: a strong female protaganist, a haunted house & plently of friendly ghosts. It was a pleasure to read, and I look forward to more from this author!
