Victoria Holt has always been the leader of the pack when it comes to gothic romantic suspense. I'm so thrilled to be able to replace the copies lost in a move my Mom made. I sure do wish the club would get all of her others(I have all they've offered thus far) but really would like such great ones as as Pride of Peacock, Legend of Seventh Virgin, Curse of Kings, Secret Woman, Menfreya in Morning, Devil on Horseback, Shadow of Lynx, Kirkland Revels and just ALL of them. Please oh PLEASE get her others!

A Must Read!

If you love romance with some suspense and mystery then you will love Victoria Holt. I hope the club is going to do up ALL of her books for their members. I'm anxiously awaiting to buy them all. Especially Pride of the Peacock, Curse of the Kings, Devil on Horseback, Menfreya in the Morning, Shivering Sands, Shadow of the Lynx...gee, they are all good and the club simply must get them!

Majorly Disappointed

I tried this Victoria Holt novel after reading the rave reviews about her work. I found this story to be slow moving...It didn't hold my interest at all. I gave up when I couldn't take it anymore & didn't finish the book. Won't try reading another of her books, EVER!

The club has GOT to offer ALL of her books to its members. These books are not just classic, they're the best stories around. Romance, suspense, brooding settings, and often a brooding hero, and a perfectly intelligent and likable heroine. More, more, more!

Victoria Holt was the first author who captured my imagination when I was a teenager. Her books are always a good adventure. I am glad to be able to purchase her book for my own library. Keep them coming. Don't forget about Phylllis Whitney also. Her books are the same quality as Miss Holts.
