Noah Galloway’s drug habit cost him his friends, his job, everything. As bad off as he was, he knew he could no longer care for Tara, the golden retriever puppy he had rescued and nursed back to health, so he took her to the shelter, where defense lawyer Andy Carpenter found her.
Now, Noah has turned his life around. His work at the rehab clinic that saved him has brought him a job in public service, and he has started a family he loves more than life. All is right with his world…until the police show up with charges of murder.
Six years ago, 26 people were killed in a fire in an apartment building whose exit doors had been locked from the outside. The arsonists were never found. Now, new evidence is pointing right to Noah, who believes he's guilty, but doesn't remember actually setting the fire.
Ellen, his wife, adores Noah—she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt he would never hurt anyone. They need a lawyer, and Andy Carpenter is as fine as they come.
In One Dog Night‚ 9th in this doggone good series by Edgar® and Shamus Award-nominee David Rosenfelt, someone wants to make sure Noah takes the rap. And Andy will have to use all his tricks, both old and new, to save the man who saved his Tara.

Loved this book. I have enjoyed all of David Rosenfelt's Andy Carpenter books and this one did not disappoint. Andy and the people around him are very interesting characters and the plot kept me guessing. Already looking forward to the next one.
