Gingerbread Cookie Murder

Bite into this confection of three novellas by beloved cozy authors and see why gingerbread is one tough cookie!

In “Gingerbread Cookie Murder” by Joanne Fluke, baker Hannah Swensen stumbles into a mystery as sticky as molasses when she finds a neighbor with his head bashed in, sprawled next to a box of her Gingerbread Cookies! Laura Levine displays “The Dangers of Gingerbread Cookies” when an actor in a play at Jaine Austen’s parents’ retirement community “falls” to his death. Is one of his lovers responsible? And “Gingerbread Cookies and Gunshots” by Leslie Meier plunges Lucy Stone into a race against time to find a kidnapper…and her only clue is a half-eaten gingerbread cookie.

Includes yummy recipes to make the season bright!

disapointed
November 02, 2010

Overall I was disappointed. I was not expecting 3 short stories but rather one novel written by Joanne Fluke. The other 2 stories were ok but would have been much improved if they also contained recipes. The stories just seemed like a poor fit without the recipes. I have every book Joanne has written and look forward to her upcoming cookbook.

I really enjoyed the stories, my favorite being "The Danger of Gingerbread Cookies". This was my first time reading from this author but it definitely will not be my last.

I really enjoyed all three stories. I have been a big Joanne Fluke fan for a long time, but now have two new authors to read!
