Latest in the scrumptious Chocoholic Mystery series, JoAnna Carl's The Chocolate Pirate Plot is a treasure-trove of fun!
Ever since the movie Young Blackbeard became a box-office hit, TenHuis Chocolade has been selling out of chocolate treasure chests, pirate hats and ships. Pirates are everywhere in Warner Pier, so when the antique powerboat owned by manager Lee McKinney Woodyard and her husband becomes the first to be boarded by a band of mischievous buccaneers, they and the town couldn’t be more amused. But when a body washes up on shore, the pirates’ antics stop being so funny. Now Lee has to figure out who’s behind the Warner Pier Pirates—before someone else winds up walking the plank. Includes tasty chocolate trivia.

I think that this is the best yet of the series. It contains a lot of twists and turns, as well as some humorous scenes, and kept me guessing until the very end. In addition, it also includes a not-so-subtle message regarding misleading appearances. Reading it is an enjoyable way to spend a cold, rainy night snuggled under a blanket in front of a roaring fire.
