Oolong Dead author Laura Childs serves up an Old-World treat with The Teaberry Strangler. The back-alley crawl was Theodosia Browning’s idea, and she thinks the event was a rousing success. Dressed in historic costumes, Charleston shop owners opened their back doors to visitors, who took advantage of bargains and Theo’s delicious teas.
But after the alleys clear, Theo is horrified to discover the body of her friend Daria, the map-store owner. Locals have shown interest in buying her shop, but enough to kill? Plus, there’s a customer hell-bent on acquiring a not-for-sale map. More alarming still is Detective Tidwell’s theory: Whoever did it mistook Daria for Theo. If he’s correct, the killer’s work isn’t done. Recipes; tea-time tips.

I am always anxious for each new Tea Shop mystery. This one was not a disappointment, as I revisited old friends and met new ones in Old Towne Charleston. Laura Childs is very talented in writing so you almost forget your are reading -- you just move into the scene and help solve the mystery.
