The Wurst Is Yet To Come

Oktoberfest comes to Hillside Manor in Mary Daheim’s 27th Bed-and-Breakfast Mystery. Proprietor Judith McMonigle Flynn and the outrageous Cousin Renie bring their delightfully witty banter to Little Bavaria to help out with the fall festivities. They soon find they’ve also brought their rather distressing tendency to stumble across a corpse in the most unlikely places!

Suspects? Oh, they’ve got suspects—including an entire oompa band—but Judith is determined to leave this mystery alone. Their innkeeper’s license is already under threat, and Judith’s husband, Joe, has his lederhosen in a twist about Judith’s sleuthing misadventures. Renie takes the lead this time, but finding Dietrich Wessler’s killer will be no party.

Nice Addition to the Series

I normally enjoy Ms. Daheim's Bed & Breakfast mysteries, but this one had way too many characters and suspects. I found it hard to keep them all straight! But cousin Renie is quite funny, which makes up for the sometimes tiresome storyline.
