Armed with a brand new master’s degree, Jordan Bingham accepts a job offer from the reclusive Vera Van Alst. On paper, the position seems perfect: Literary researcher, room and board included. Sure, there’s a “must love cats” clause, but she can fake it. The only downside she can see is that the Van Alst family is universally despised. Then Jordan meets the crotchety Vera and gets her first assignment.
Back in 1926, Agatha Christie vanished for eleven days, eventually resurfacing at a luxury spa. Vera believes that Dame Agatha wrote a play during those eleven days—and she wants Jordan to find it. Only then does Jordan learn that she was hired to replace Vera’s previous researcher...who was killed while seeking the very same play.

Overall this was a good introductory book for presumably a new series. The idea of a long-lost Agatha Christie play is intriguing and I did not guess "whodunnit", which I always consider a bonus. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of entertainment.
Downsides: I realize you don't want a bunch of boring people, but it seems formulaic now that there must be a large cast of kookie characters surrounding the 'star'. I kept picturing the author saying, "Let's see, what odd personality can I insert now?".
My other complaint is not with the story but the surprisingly poor publishing of it. Each chapter begins with a few words all in capital letters and a large majority of these had stray symbols in them. This was not only distracting but cheapened the feel of the book.
