Not for the everyday cook. Uses lots of weird ingredients that you don't normally have on hand & things my family wouldn't want to eat if I did make a special trip to buy them. Only a small handful of recipes for useful.

I loved this book! And it takes that certain warmth and honest goodness to win me over and this book has it. She teaches you how to organize and shop to be the master in the kitchen, great recipes too! (people actually want to eat them) Definatley great book and price!

I have a few other Semi-Homemade books and really enjoy them. This book didn't really have anything new or interesting- a lot of repeats of previous recipes. Stick to the first books in the Semi-Homemade series. Good for beginners.

I have seen her recipies before and although look good and I will use some from this book, I was looking for "money saving" and it isnt. Its worth the money if you arent trying to "save" money in the kitchen. Nice hints in it and easy step by step instructions and nice photos.
