Victor is the best at what he does, and what he does is kill people. A contract killer, he is ice-cold, methodical and deadly, and the less he knows about his victims—and his client—the better.
In Tom Hinshelwood’s The Killer, Victor’s latest job is a standard kill-and-collect, and he executes it with trademark efficiency…only to find himself in front of a rifle’s crosshairs, instead of behind them. Someone wants him dead, but who? Realizing that his foe knows more about him than anyone should, Victor finds himself pursued by the authorities, hired assassins and intelligence agencies on both sides of the Atlantic. But Victor is no easy target. He’s the best in the business. And he’ll find out who wants him dead if it kills them.

I enjoyed the plot line and storyline. He developed the characters very well and kept me interested throughout. The fight scenes are a bit drawn out, but over all the story was great and enjoyable. At this point in time I would be ready to buy his next book. Victor will return.

A novel about an assassin who's the hunted, instead of the hunter. Great plot line and story line follows the lead character; Victor, in and out of trouble. In this book you cheer for the bad guy, not an easy feat to accomplish, but is very well handled by this author. I found the authors phrasing and syntax a little awkward in parts but if your a mystery thriller fan, and if your fans of Vince Flynn, Lee Child, David Baldacci, and Christopher Reich, your sure to enjoy this novel.

The Killer is fantastic. I am looking forward to Tom Hinshelwood's next book. Excellent writing and Tom is up there with the late Robert Ludlum, Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn.
