If you think it’s impossible for Sandra Brown to deliver a mind-blowing, action-packed white-knuckle thriller better than anything she’s done before—you’re wrong. In Tough Customer, she’s raised her own bar…and it’s way up there.
Hard-living detective-turned-P.I., Dodge Hanley tries not to dwell on the past. But when he gets a call from Caroline King, “the one” who got away, there’s no time for looking back; their daughter is in trouble.
Caroline has told Berry that Dodge is an old friend they can rely on to prove she didn’t shoot her ex-lover, even though she’s already told the cops she saw the real culprit. It was Oren Starks, Berry insists, a former co-worker fired for stalking her. Dodge believes his daughter…and he’s pretty sure Deputy Ski Nyland does, too, considering how hard he’s working to find Starks. Berry’s told them he’s depraved, and from what they learn, she’s got him pegged. But nut jobs play by their own crazy rules. The only thing clear to Dodge is that Starks is obsessed with having Berry…or killing her, and neither is acceptable to a man who’s determined to right some old wrongs, even if he has to risk his life—not to mention his heart—to do it.

Sandra Brown I find always entertaining. This is a easy and fun read. I thought the ending was left a bit unfinished and I didn't care for it.

Sandra must have been on auto-pilot for this one. Very, very disappointed. I could have easily been reading a romance novel with bulging biceps and heaving breasts on the cover. To bad I didn't wait untill this one was out in paperback. What a waste of $27.00.

I really liked her earlier books but the last few have been bad. But this one I couldn't even finish. Didn't care for any of the characters and the story was not very good either. Hope she gets better next time she writes.
Reviewer: Toni
Some of her books are so well written and attention grabbing. This is not one of them. It never gets very suspenseful and after "catching the bad guy" there are still lots of pages to go so you know something's not right. But I didn't care.

IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO...SETTLE DOWN AND READ THIS STORY. HAVEN'T READ SANDRA BROWN IN AWHILE BUT THIS IS PRETTY GOOD.
