Mockingjay

“[Suzanne] Collins writes with raw power...The Hunger Games and Catching Fire expose children to exactly the kind of violence we usually shield them from…[which] just goes to show how much adults forget about what it’s like to be a child.”—Time Magazine.

Those awaiting the conclusion of the stunning film-optioned Hunger Games trilogy—take a deep breath. In Mockingjay, the danger never abates, hitting the adrenaline-pumping highs you’ve come to expect from acclaimed author Suzanne Collins.

Katniss Everdeen has twice survived the Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV...but she still isn’t safe. Her heroism and her skill have transformed her into a symbol of defiance for an oppressed population. With uprisings wracking the nation, the Capitol thinks Katniss should pay for the unrest. Worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one she knows is safe either. The mysterious District 13 may provide sanctuary...or even more danger. Beset with doubt, Katniss forges ahead, but will her strength hold up or fold before the might of the Capitol?

Powerful and haunting, this resounding final installment of the groundbreaking trilogy promises to be one of the most talked about books of the year.

OK Read

I liked book one, thought book 2 was pretty good and felt that Collins had no clue how to end the story in book 3. Maybe I would have liked this better if I was a Young Adult instead of a much more mature reader.

I have all 3 books now. It was hard to put them down. If you have seen the movie, then you will really enjoy the books.
