Hell's Corner

Heart-hammering action, shadow conspiracies and international intrigue collide in Hell’s Corner, the thrilling new Camel Club book by #1 New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci.

Is someone trying to kill the American president? The British prime minister? Both? It sure seems that way. After a successful State Dinner at the White House, just as it’s leaving the premises, the British PM’s motorcade is rocked by an explosion. A bomb has been detonated in what seems to be a terrorist plot against one or both world leaders…and Camel Club leader Oliver Stone has a front-seat view of the action.

In the aftermath, British MI5 agent Mary Chapman, an experienced, lethal operative with an agenda of her own, is sent to assist in the American investigation of the incident. As a witness, Stone—along with veteran Secret Service agent Alex Ford, Harry Finn and the rest of the Camel Club—is drawn into the investigation. But as they soon discover, everything is not what it appears to be, and what happened in the park may not have been the actual plan. The mysterious attackers might have another target in their sights…and if the Camel Club is unable to stop them, the results could be catastrophic.

Not as Good

The author seems to feel he needs to compete with the likes of Tom Clancy in terms of detail. Could have ended much sooner.

Slow!!!Not worth the price of the book. I have read most of his works and found this one not even interesting. Seems he needs another story line. Could not even finish.
