When her husband is found dead in the apartment of a second-rate “escort,” Susie Gersten—suburban mom and unrepentant fashion plate—is devastated. It’s bad enough to have your husband murdered; it’s even worse when you’re universally pitied because of the sleaze factor. But even in her grief, Susie knows that the case just doesn’t add up—Jonah wasn’t the kind of man to go to call girls. Now, backed by her rogue Grandma Ethel, she’s on a tear, taking on her snooty in-laws, her husband’s partners, the NYPD and the DA in an effort to get to the bottom of her husband’s death…and come to grips with the truth about her own life.
A rare mix of sass, social satire and suspense, As Husbands Go is a delight. It’s Susan Isaacs at her best.

This is the worst book I have ever read. Don't wast your money on this one.

Boring is relly the best description....
I actually read about a third, then started skipping 10/20 pages and reading a paragraph or two, then skipping another great number of page. Did read the last chapter.
I purchased the book on Isaacs name as Shinning Through, Lily White and Red, White and Blue, plus others were so very good. As this was a "free" book. I will donate it to the local library.

Listened to book on audio, reader was so drab, made you tired. None of it made sense

I wish I had read these reviews before buying the book. It was painful to read. So much to wade through to get to the mystery that was not believable anyway. To me, it was not funny.

I can't tell you how many chapters I skipped ahead to get to the story or to dialog between characters. Very dull and the ending was very poor.
