When Nora Roberts dons her J.D. Robb persona, fans know they’re in for another hell-raising trip to the future with the gorgeous, tough-as-nails, no-nonsense-ever, Lieutenant Eve Dallas. As Celebrity in Death opens, Eve has traded her working duds for an eye-popping cocktail dress to attend a celebrity-packed gala celebrating The Icove Agenda, a film based on one of her most famous cases. Eve and Roarke are somewhat spooked by their resemblance to the actors portraying them. But more unsettling is finding Peabody’s “twin” floating in the director’s rooftop pool.
Although everyone agreed K. T. Harris was a talented actress, her obnoxious personality didn’t win her any friends. Eve and company got to witness the embarrassing scene she made at dinner after which she wound up doing the dead man’s float. So who did it? In the time it takes Eve to slip out of her heels and strap on her holster, she discovers that K.T. had been paying a private investigator to dig up dirt on two cast mates who were doing the nasty against the director’s explicit rules. Now the P.I. is in the morgue, too—and Eve is beginning to think this case may rival the one being filmed for her most notorious…and deadly.

I own all but the most recent book in the In Death series. They are always interesting and fast paced. Have read them all more than once. I can hardly wait to read Celebrity in Death.
I am looking forward to seeing how the characters change and adjust as they get older and more experienced. I hope there will be many more books added to this series.
